"I don't recognize anyone on this Revolver roster that used to play for Jam." It would be nice if the announcers had some minimal level of knowledge about the players they're talking about.
You guys are doing an excellent job by the way. And I must say the video quality and production is light years ahead of what we've been used to.
Question: has there been a lot of local publicity for this tournament? Do you get the feeling there are spectators from Prague outside of the ultimate community?
It seems like Sockeye has definitely mixed up their rosters roles. Andrew Fleming used to be exclusively D-line and Ray Illian was exclusively O-line. Roles are reversed today.

Bart and Friends (Damien, Safdie, Cascino) are the reason that Revolver exists. They formed Justice League in 2006, and cut several players, including Mike Payne, causing the rift. Many of the Stanford players landed on the Revolver side (Cahill, Sherwood, Handler).
Bart, Boo, Cascino were key players for JAM through the 2008 title and last year's final run.
It is a huge chemistry issue that they have added Bart to Revolver this season, not only as a player, but a captain, even though Revolver advanced to the Club Finals in Sarasota.
Nick Chapman, Russell Wynne, and Cassidy Rassmusen are all from UC Santa Cruz. Look out for Wynne on D. I'd like to make a shout out to Daryl Nouunan who played with Revolver in the past, but couldn't continue to play this year. Also a shout out to my boyfriend, Russ Wynne. I wish I was in Prague watching in person.

Revolver was founded by Nick Handler in 2006 from the remains of Kaos. So a more accurate interpretation is that Daryl Nounan is the reason Revolver exists.
Damien did not play on Justice League (which was not founded by any of the three players mentioned in your parenthesis.)
Robbie and Sherwood were already playing with Revolver when Mike Payne joined the team.
Jam did not have a "last year's final run". They lost in the quarters.
The chemistry on Revolver this year looks fantastic.
Other than that, spot on bedtime story.
In conclusion, Bart**, Boo, Taylor* and Jonny played with Jam last year, play with Revolver this year, and are World Champions.

ReplyDeleteThe three mentioned above were definitely some of Jams "stars"
